I love music. I love everything about music. I love all types of music as well. One of my most favorite types of music, however, is dance music. But i'm picky about my dance music. I don't like it to sound like 80's "MMM-sss-MMM-sss" beats, basically. I'm also a big fan of remixes of songs, usually liking them better than the original, anyway. I'm always the one with those CD cases that are full of "mixtapes" and dance-mix CDs and hardly any original-artist CDs. I also always get excited when I come across a new DJ that has a complete collection of sweet remixes of my favorite hits played on the radio. The most recent of these findings is Chris Bordeaux, a musician and all around artist currently in Minnesota.
Chris Bordeaux does many things, he's most well-known for his work in the music industry but he has actually been chasing his additional dreams, going to school for web and graphic design behind the scenes. In fact, it was his talent in the graphics field that got him started with music. In the past, he has done graphic work for the "Rad Girls" @ radgirls.tv; as well as “America’s Next Top Model”’s Lisa D'Amato, which then lead to the pair becoming friends. They then decided to work together on several ventures including branching out into the music field together creating Lisa's latest single, "Sextape".
Chris' focus on music has only grown stronger and more passionate. In the past he attended the Perpich Center for Arts Education where he learned how to remix, add layers, instrumentals, and other high tech effects to add behind his piano recordings. That's right, he plays the piano too. He's developed a distinct electro, pop, and dance sound; noting that he favors tracks that help you escape ---tracks that bring you to another place and leave you feeling the beat deep inside your soul. Sounds good to me! Chris is currently working on solo tunes but still likes to collaborate with other artists like Lisa D'Amato, or Tina Jensen, who is currently performing off Broadway in New York City.
Keep an eye out for Chris in the future, he doesn't plan on going anywhere. He also has his life planned out in front of him for the next many years to come. This is a determined young individual! Chris plans on growing his solo music career, as stated above, but doesn't plan on slowing down the partnerships with other musicians. He is currently working on his first studio labium, set for a summer 2011 release. To hold us over until that album releases, however, he has created a [re]mix-tape containing a medley of his favorite tunes from the 80's all the way up to today. Over the next 10 years, he plans on building his knowledge more in graphic design and eventually move to LA to build on that and his music career before finally settling in New York.
